Billionaire Unchallenged: Carter: A Billionaire’s Obsession Book 13 is by J.S. Scott. This is undoubtedly the longest series I have read but it is also one of the best. It is pure romance with some graphic scenes (but not overly graphic). They are just fun to read and J.S. Scott has a way of making each of them continue to be different enough to make you want to keep reading. You know it will have a happy ending but that doesn’t take away from the pleasure of reading the books.
Carter is in the middle of the Lawson Brothers who ran Lawson Technologies. He did the marketing for the company and did it well. After the death of their parents, the three brothers and their two sisters stayed together and were very close. Lawson Technologies did very well and made them all billionaires. Carter, gorgeous in addition to being rich, had never had a problem getting a woman if he wanted one. However, he was never sure if she wanted him for himself or his money. He was quite skeptical of women and he could come across as quite rude. He never apologized. However, he may have met his match at the charity function tonight.
Brynn Davis was a supermodel along with her friend, Laura. However, they had decided not to be the skinny, skinny models who were unhealthy; but to be their own weight but in a very well-shaped body. Laura was considered a Plus Size model while Brynn was only a size 6. They had made shrewd investments early in their careers so that they were billionaires themselves before thirty. They had created a line of clothing which was doing quite well and were considering doing that fulltime soon. Neither was married nor had a boyfriend. Brynn had trust issues that went back into her past. Only Laura knew her secret. Brynn recognized Carter as a player and although attracted to him, didn’t want anything to do with him. Her tendency to say “No” intrigued him. Can she resist? What will he do when he finds out her secret?

What happen to the action in this series? No kidnapping, no abuse, no intensity, no nothing...just slow normal living.
This story is so mundane and boring. It reminds me more of a Sinclair story.
I don’t feel for the characters and half the time I’m rolling my eyes at their actions.
I stopped reading about 50% and started another book...if I come back to this one I’ll update my review, as of now I’m yawning!!
Brynn is doing the woo is me dance. When she was 14, she found out her dad was a serial killer. He went to jail died of cancer...okay so big deal, it’s 15 years later and she letting it define her life. It’s not like he’s in jail and taunting her or something. These stories can’t touch the original 4 books in the series.
The magic of JS Scott continues again with Carter and Brynn. Two amazing people with so much hurt in their pasts, find instant attraction and want for each other. What will it take for Brynn to trust Carter after all she has been through. Will Carter win and have what has been missing in his life?? Amazing story.

Carter Lawson was the brother to Harper, Dani and Jett from books ten, eleven and twelve respectively. He was a billionaire workaholic and the eldest sibling, always trying to fix things. He had never met a woman worthy enough to occupy his mind more than the moment they shared, until Brynn.

Brynn Davis was a supermodel who focused on the natural and healthy body type. Alongside her modeling she blogged and had a fashion company. She also had a history that wouldn’t allow her to trust men easily if at all.

Brynn and Carter met at a charity function. They connected immediately and recognized each other as the lost soul they were beneath the facade that everyone else saw. There was a lot of push and pull in the beginning from Brynn. I love a woman of independence but hers was annoying at times until she finally went with the flow. It then evolved into a journey of healing and acceptance while finding forever love.

In the end, it was a quick, sweet and enjoyable read without much drama. While enjoying Carter and Brynn, Scott also teased us with Mason and Laura’s interactions. Billionaire Unattainable is up next with Mason’s story.

Carter is the middle brother of three and between him and Mason they have no interests outside of their business.

Brynn is a "former" super model who still models occasionally but is more interested in designing bags. She has a store with one of her best friends who was also a model and now a designer as well.

While at a fundraiser Brynn and Carter make eyes at each other across the room. At the same time Mason has also set his eyes on her best friend. By the time Carter escapes from the conversation he is in the ladies have left the event.

The next morning while Brynn is heading down to her new apartments gym she runs into no other than Carter. Carter could not believe his luck and after trying to make conversation with Brynn he ends up hitting the STOP button on the elevator to make sure he has her attention and he kisses her. Brynn kisses back to start but then pushes him away and continues to say no to dinner... finally the doors open and she runs out leaving Carter mystified, no one has ever made him work for a date....

Will Carter get the date? What happens when the past comes back to Brynn will Carter help her get through it???

My only complaint is we have to wait a year for Mason's story....
JS Scott did a wonderful job with this latest addition to the Billionaire Obsession series. When you combine a sexy alpha male with counterpart that matches him in every way plus a very engaging story you get pure magic. This book had me engaged from the beginning and held my interest till the very end. Loved the lighter parts of the story that were mixed in with steamy scenes. It made for a well balanced book. Highly recommend this story and all of them in this series.
